Sunlight Retreats Wins the City Social Enterprise Accelerator and Impact Lab Pitch Event

Brittany Catton Kirk of Sunlight Retreats won first place at the City Sail (Social Enterprise Accelerator and Impact Lab) Final Pitch Event on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Revel Revel Events in Downtown San Diego.

City SAIL, in partnership with the City of San Diego, is designed to equip mission driven organizations within San Diego City Limit with the strategy and skills necessary to develop sustainable, revenue-based business models that accelerate social impact and promote economic and workforce development. Over the course of five in-person modules, the SAIL program provides a rich curriculum through workshops, lectures, and mentorships that help social entrepreneurs build and test their ideas. Ultimately, Mission Edge empowers SAIL participants to access opportunities, build a business model, test and validate ideas, launch, and pitch revenue-generations products and services.

“I am incredibly honored to be a part of this cohort of incredible organizations, very soon we were a close knit group that supported one another and shared valuable feedback. I made lasting connections with not only my cohort, but my incredible mentor Jabez LeBret, and Mission Edge mentors Kacie Brennell, Lauren Feeher and Ken Davenport.”
